Abstract

The invention provides a method for traversing isolating equipment in an IP monitoring system and proxy of the method. The method is applied to a monitoring system, the monitoring system comprises multiple monitoring nodes and an LNS. The method comprises the steps of establishing an L2TP tunnel junction with the LNS, obtaining an internal IP address of the tunnel from the LNS; receiving an IP message which is outwards transmitted by the monitoring node from a branch network; modifying the source IP address of the IP message into the internal IP address of the tunnel, and recording the corresponding relation between the monitoring node identifier carried by the message and the IP address of the monitoring node; transmitting the modified IP message to the outside by the tunnel; extracting the received tunnel message to obtain the internal IP message of the tunnel; modifying the target address of the internal IP message of the tunnel into the IP address of the monitoring node based on the monitoring node identifier and the corresponding relation, and then forwarding to the monitoring node. With the method and the proxy, effective assistance is provided to the branch network so as to be accessed by other monitoring nodes from the outside network in presence of the isolating equipment.
