Abstract

The invention discloses a radio resource control (RRC) connection reestablishing method and equipment, which belong to the field of radio communication. The method comprises the following steps that: when radio links of first RRC connection fail, a terminal reselects a cell; if the cell reselected by the terminal belongs to a second station or the cell reselected by the terminal and a cell of second RRC connection belong to a same cell group, the terminal reselects another cell or stops the operation of reselecting the cell and releases the first RRC connection; and if the cell reselected by the terminal does not belong to the second station or the cell reselected by the terminal and the cell of the second RRC connection do not belong to the same cell group, the terminal reestablishes the RRC connection on the basis of the reselected cell. According to a scheme for maintaining the reestablishment of the PRC connection between the terminal and different stations, the terminal can guarantee data services of the terminal through an RRC connection reestablishing process when the connection between the terminal and one station fails.
