Abstract

The invention discloses a surface plasmon lens based on an artificial electromagnetic material. The lens comprises a substrate and a surface metal structure arranged on the substrate and formed by structure units which are arranged periodically, wherein the surface metal structure is axially symmetric; each structure unit comprises a U-shaped metal sheet; and the groove depth of each U-shaped metal sheet changes gradually outwards along a symmetry axis. According the surface plasmon lens, the electromagnetic waves can be controlled, and phase control of the lens on the surface plasmon is realized; and the lens can work in different frequency bands of microwaves, millimeter waves, Terahertz waves and the like by virtue of scaling of structure parameters.
