Embodiment Construction
[0014] The present invention describes a method for interplanting energy crops with a primary crop on a planting site. In the description below and Figure 1 to Figure 6 Certain specific details are set forth in the description to provide a thorough understanding of various embodiments of the invention. Well-known structures, systems and methods, generally associated with such systems, have not been shown or described in detail to avoid unnecessarily obscuring the description of the various embodiments of the invention. Additionally, those of ordinary skill in the art will understand that further embodiments of the invention may be practiced without several of the details described below.
[0015] In the present invention, the term "plantation site" is used to refer to an established forest, farm or land on which crops are grown. The term "primary crop" is used to refer to any type of tree crop known to those of ordinary skill in the art. The term "energy crops" is used to ...

Abstract
The present invention relates to methods for interplanting staple crops and energy crops. In some embodiments, the present invention includes methods for preparing a planting site for growing energy crops. A planting site according to the present invention may include main crops planted in a first column and a second column, the first column being separated by a middle column. The middle column is divided into a central part and two side parts (a first side part and a second side part). The method according to an embodiment of the invention comprises the steps of: excavating a mixture of soil and planting debris from said intermediate region; redepositing mainly the soil components of said mixture of soil and planting debris into said central portion; And redepositing the planting debris component of the mixture of soil and planting debris primarily into at least one of the two side portions.
Description
technical field [0001] The present invention generally relates to methods for interplanting energy crops with a primary crop on a plantation site. Background technique [0002] Due to the dwindling quantities of coal, oil and natural gas products, attention is being paid to other energy sources including oil shale, solar and nuclear power. One energy source that has received considerable attention is forest biomass materials, such as wood, plants that grow with trees, and wood by-products. Forest biomass can include any type of biomass produced by forest tree growth, such as dead trees, non-marketable trees, branches, understory, stumps, intercropping, other vegetation that grows with the tree, clippings, harvesting residues , tree trunks, wood chips or other similar materials. Forest biomass has potential use in a myriad of different applications including, but not limited to, heat production, production of liquid fuels, production of biogas, production of bioelectricity,...
