The novel efficient desulfurization and denitrification agent is prepared by taking solid waste slag as a main material and taking calcium hypochlorite as an auxiliary material, wherein the solid waste slag contains a certain quantity of iron and calcium playing an important role in desulfurization and denitrification of flue gas, and through determination, the content of average effective calcium in the waste slag is 20%, the content of average effective iron is 8.6%, the content of Fe<2+> is 5.8%, and the content of Fe<3+> is 2.6%.
