Problems solved by technology

The problem with these known envelopes is that they add to the complexity of the manufacturing process
Furthermore, since the releasable adhesive layer is placed on the walls of the envelope after it has been made, the releasable adhesive adds uneven thickness to the envelope, making it difficult to store multiple envelopes on top of each other

Embodiment Construction

[0020] refer to figure 1 with figure 2 , exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure may include a wrapper 100 . The envelope 100 may be a standard size envelope designed to hold 8 1 / 2" x 11" standard paper in the folded position. For example, the sleeve 100 may be approximately 9 3 / 4" x 4 1 / 8" with the sealing flap in the closed position. Alternatively, the sleeve 100 may have other suitable standard sizes or shapes configured to receive one or more standard-sized papers (eg, Letter, A4, etc.). For example, the envelope 100 may be a #00, #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7 or number #8 envelope. For example, exemplary sleeves may have other standard sizes configured to receive one or more standard size papers, such as letter, legal, A4, and the like. In addition, exemplary covers can have business flaps, square flaps, wallet flaps, side seams, and the cover 100 can be an insurance policy cover, a billboard cover, a catalog cover, a square cover, a ceremonial cover, or a circu...

Abstract

An envelope having an envelope wall member including first and second envelope walls that cooperatively enclose a pocket space and define therebetween a pocket opening to the pocket space, the envelope wall including a surface that defines a recess and a sealing strip that includes an adhesive releasably adhering the strip to the envelope wall member within the recess. The adhesive is capable of adhering to the strip to the envelope wall to seal the envelope.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application claims priority to US Provisional Application No. 61 / 560,198, filed November 15, 2011. The entire disclosure content of the above-cited applications is incorporated by reference into this application. Background technique [0003] The present disclosure generally relates to a weatherstrip for use with an envelope. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to a weatherstrip incorporated into one wall of the envelope. Background technique [0004] Sleeve flaps are known with moisture activated adhesives or with removable flaps over the adhesive (commonly known as peel and stick), or with other built-in adhesives. Prior to conventional adhesive strips, the flaps were sealed by an external bond that was attached both to the flap and to the adjacent portion that bonded the closed flap. This combination may be molten wax or the like. Adhesive seals (eg having a sheet part comprising adhesive on o...
