Abstract

The invention relates to a Chinese medicinal preparation for preventing and treating beriberi. The Chinese medicinal preparation is prepared from the following components by weight: 1-2 parts of angelica dahurica, 1-2 parts of cortex dictamni, 1-2 parts of folium artemisiae argyi, 1-2 parts of coptis chinensis, 1-2 parts of licorice, and 2-3 parts of alum. The medicinal preparation provided by the invention can be applied by the following three methods of: (1) mixing the medicinal materials, conducting decoction for 30min, removing the slag, soaking feet in liquid medicine for 30-60min with the water temperature kept at 38-42DEG C twice a day; (2) grinding the medicinal materials into 280-mesh powder, mixing the powder evenly, and spreading the powder among toes directly; and (3) grinding the medicinal materials into 280-mesh powder, mixing the powder, adding white vinegar which is 2-3 times the weight of the medicinal powder to conduct soaking for 7-15 days, removing the slag, and applying the supernatant to an affected part directly twice a day. The Chinese medicinal preparation provided by the invention is safe and effective, and has good prevention and treatment effects on beriberi.
