Abstract
The invention discloses a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) used in intensive care unit (ICU) wards for treating sepsis. The TCM is prepared from the following medicines by weight: 10g of wide rhinoceros horns, 15g of red peony root, 10g of tree peony root bark, 30g of honeysuckle, 15g of weeping forsythiacapsule, 10g of peach kernels, 6g of raw rhubarb, 10g of baical skullcap root, 5g of coptis root, 8g of common andrographisherb, 5g of dahurian patriniaherb, 10g of dwarf lilyturf tuber, 5g of cape jasmine fruit, 6g of twotoothed achyranthes root, 5g of buddleja lindleyana and 3g of annual fleabane herb. A preparation method comprises the following steps: weighing the medicines and putting the medicines into a container, adding 8 times amount of water, decocting the medicines for 1.5 hours and filtering the decoction; adding 6 times amount of water to the filter residues, decocting the filter residues for 1 hour and filtering the decoction; combining the filtrates, concentrating the combined filtrate, drying the concentrate and filling the product into a capsule shell. Clinical experiments prove that by selecting proper medicines and ratio thereof, the TCM achieves the obvious effect of effectively treating sepsis, is safe and does not have toxic or side effects.
Description
technical field [0001] The invention relates to a traditional Chinese medicine, in particular to a traditional Chinese medicine for treating sepsis in an ICU ward and a preparation method thereof. Background technique [0002] Sepsis generally refers to a state of systemic reaction in which bacteria or their toxins invade blood circulation from local lesions during purulent infection. When pathogenic bacteria invade the blood, they continue to multiply and produce toxins, causing severe systemic symptoms, such as chills, fever, rapid pulse, thirst, irritability or apathy, and even toxic shock and coma, which is called sepsis. If the pathogenic bacteria do not enter the blood circulation, the toxin produced locally enters the blood and produces the above-mentioned similar symptoms, which is called toxemia. If the body's resistance is strong, the bacteria invading the blood will be eliminated quickly, unable to reproduce, and only produce short-term symptoms, which is called ...
