Abstract

The invention relates to an optical system comprising a lens and a prism. The lens comprises a first light-emergent surface, a bottom surface opposite to the first light-emergent surface and an annular lateral surface connecting the first light-emergent surface and the bottom surface. The bottom surface of the lens concaves towards the direction adjacent to the first light-emergent surface to form an accommodating groove used for accommodating a light-emitting diode light source, and the bottom, corresponding to the accommodating groove, of the lens is provided with a first light-incident surface. The prism is provided with a second light-incident surface and a second light-emergent surface parallel to each other, a plurality of triangular strip grooves arranged in an array are formed in the light-incident surface of the prism, the prism is provided with a first refracting surface and a second refracting surface which are connected each other and corresponding to each strip groove, and the prism is provided with a first side and a second side which are symmetrical relative to a central axis of the prism. The invention further relates to an illuminating device adopting the optical system. The illuminating device can meet the requirement of spotlighting in the directions spaced by a certain angle.
