The device integrates the advantages of section-steel piles and steel plate piles, is large in supporting depth, short in construction cycle and capable of being repeatedly used, and has a water stop function. According to the H-shaped steel foundation pit supporting device and method, a plurality of H-shaped steel piles (1) are driven or pressed from the ground to an underground designed elevation one by one through a pile driver or a pile pressing-in machine according to a design requirement; sectional steel plate piles (2) are pressed between the pile bodies of every two H-shaped steel piles (1) through a press pile device, and therefore a first section foundation pit support is formed; earthwork in a first depth is dug in the first section foundation pit support, and second sectional steel plate piles (2) continue to be pressed between the pile bodies of every two piles (1), and earthwork in a second depth continues to be dug; construction is conducted in this way circularly till foundation pit supporting is completed; and the second sectional steel plate piles (2) and pulling-out piles (1) are sequentially pulled out, and thus a supporting system is disassembled.
