The determination method is characterized in that high-performance liquid chromatography is adopted to determine ethylene glycol phenyl ether in the disinfectant, ethylene glycol phenyl ether has ultraviolet absorption at 254[mu]m, reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is used to separate, qualitative analysis is carried out through using the retention time and an ultraviolet spectrogram, the peak area is used to quantify, and the mass fraction of ethylene glycol phenyl ether in the disinfectant is calculated according to a formula; and the quaternary ammonium salt and bromophenol blue and other acidic dyes form a colored salt in order to determine the content of the quaternary ammonium salt, and the colored salt can be easily extracted by a chlorine-containing organic solvent in an alkaline aqueous solution, and the combination of the colored salt is less stable than combination of sodium tetraphenylborate and the quaternary ammonium salt, so the property of the colored salt is used as the principle of the indicator sodium tetraphenylborate for titrating the quaternary ammonium salt, and the content of the quaternary ammonium salt in the disinfectant can be obtained through recording the titration amount of sodium tetraphenylborate and calculating according to a formula.
