Abstract

The invention provides a video camera comprising a lens module group and a steering mechanism which is used for driving the lens module group to rotate. The steering mechanism comprises a base, a support which is used for supporting the lens module group, and a driving module group. The support is rotatably connected with the base. The driving module group comprises a driving device, a first transmission gear set, a second transmission gear set and a swing gear set. The driving device drives the swing gear set to be engaged with the first transmission gear set or the second transmission gear set. When the swing gear set is engaged with the first transmission gear set, the driving device drives the swing gear set to rotate relative to the first transmission gear set so as to drive the support and the lens module group to move in a first direction. When the swing gear set is connected with the second transmission gear set in a transmission way, swing gears rotate under driving of the driving device so as to drive the second transmission gear set to drive the lens module group to move in a second direction. The invention also provides the steering mechanism. According to the video camera, the size of the video camera can be reduced and cost of the product can be reduced.
