Abstract

The apparatus comprises: an encoder which outputs a pulse A and a pulse B having a phase difference of 90 degrees in accordance with the rotation of the motor; and a control unit which receives the pulse A and the pulse B from the encoder during a first reference time, measures information of the pulses, receives the pulse A and the pulse B from the encoder during the first reference time again, measures information of the pulses again, selects any one of the measured information of the pulses and the information of the pulses measured again as data for calculating the speed of the motor on the basis of the measured information of the pulses and the information of the pulses measured again, and calculates the speed of the motor on the basis of the selected data.
