The method is characterized by comprising the steps of starting whiteboard software in the touch screen terminal and displaying canvas for a user to write on the touch screen terminal; detecting a handwriting written in the canvas by the user to obtain position information of a to-be-written area of the user in the canvas; reading position information of a pre-configured comfort writing area; and adjusting the display position of the canvas on the touch screen terminal according to the position information of the to-be-written area and the position information of the comfort writing area so as to enable the to-be-written area to be moved into the comfort writing area. Correspondingly, the invention furthermore discloses a canvas display apparatus for the touch screen terminal. According to the method and the apparatus, the user can always perform writing in a most comfortable range, so that the situation that the user needs to raise himself on tiptoe for writing in an excessively high place and stoop for writing in an excessively low place is avoided, and the writing experience of the user is improved.
