The method for removing the metal burs comprises the following steps: S1, a metal electrode and a high-voltage pulse power are provided; S2, a to-be-treated surface with the metal burs is grounded, and the metal electrode is electrically connected with the high-voltage pulse power; S3, the metal electrode approaches to the metal burs of the to-be-treated surface, so that air located at the metal burs is broken down to generate air plasma; the temperature of excited-state particles in the air plasma is partially raised so that the metal burs are fused or gasified; and the metal burs are removed. According to the method for removing the metal burs, the micron-grade metal burs can be effectively removed, and other areas on the to-be-treated surface are not damaged; besides, additional liquid media and abrasives do not need to be added, so that on-line removing can be realized; and the method and the device have the advantages of being convenient, controllable, high in production efficiency, high in applicability and the like.
