Abstract

A touch pressure sensitivity correction method is disclosed and comprises: a step of defining a plurality of reference points on a touch sensor panel; a step of producing reference data for capacitance changes detected by applying identical pressure to the plurality of reference points; a step of producing interpolation data corresponding to capacitance changes of random points existing among the plurality of reference points; a step of calculating a correction coefficient for correcting the sensitivity of a touch input device to a target value for each of the reference points and the random points on the basis of the reference data and the interpolation data; and a step of uniformly correcting the touch pressure sensitivity of the touch input device by applying the calculated correction coefficients to corresponding points, wherein the step of producing interpolation data comprises: a step of producing a base profile; a step of producing delta data calculating the deviations of the capacitance changes of the base profile and the reference data; and a step of calculating, on the basis of the delta data, capacitance changes of the random points. Accordingly, the touch pressure sensitivity of the touch input device can be corrected in a manner than the touch pressure can be detected with uniform sensitivity on the whole surface of a display.
