Abstract

The invention discloses a pharmaceutical composition for Alzheimer's disease and application thereof. The western medicine composition is composed of levamisole hydrochloride suppositories and piracetam based on the mass ratio of (20-28):1. An APP/PS1 double-transgenic mouse is selected to be an animal model of Alzheimer's disease, passive avoidance incubation time of the mouse is detected based on passive avoidance test ethology to serve as the index of learning and memorizing ability of the mouse, and the discrimination index of the mouse is detected through a new object identification test so as to test the cognitive competence of the mouse. Results prove that the western medicine composition can remarkably shorten the passive avoidance incubation time of the APP/PS1 double-transgenic mouse and increase the discrimination index of the APP/PS1 double-transgenic mouse, and has a good treatment effect on Alzheimer's disease of the APP/PS1 double-transgenic mouse.
