Abstract

The invention discloses a method for enhancing hydrophobicity of the surface of metallic nickel through sulfuric acid etching. The method comprises the steps that (1) an ultrasonic cleaning mode is adopted to wash the surface of the metallic nickel, and oil stains and impurities on the surface of metallic nickel sheets are removed; (2) a sulfuric acid solution with the concentration being 10-20 wt% is prepared, the metallic nickel sheets are put into the sulfuric acid solution, then the metallic nickel sheets are put into a water bath with the temperature being over 30 DEG C to be subjected to chemical etching for 28-56 hours, and then in the etching process, the surfaces of the metallic nickel sheets are turned once every one hour; and (3) the etched metallic nickel sheets are taken out, flushed and dried, and the metallic nickel sheets with the surface hydrophobicity being enhanced are obtained. The method is simple in process, operation is convenient and fast, the requirements for raw materials and equipment are low, the metallic nickel and the sulfuric acid solution have a chemical reaction through the simple sulfuric acid chemical etching process, special structures and morphologies are formed on the surface of the metal, the surface roughness is improved, and accordingly hydrophobicity of the surface of the metallic nickel is effectively enhanced.
