Abstract

The invention provides a method for configuring and automatically sending a WAN template of a WIFI ONU. The method comprises the steps that: a user creates a WAN template through an OLT CLI, and binds a PON interface; when the ONU registers an authorization request, an OLT obtains the type code of the ONU; the OLT searches whether the PON interface, where the ONU is, is bound with the WAN template or not, and then, compares whether the ONU type code is the same as the WAN template parameter ONU type code or not; and, if all type codes are matched successfully, WAN configuration is sent to the WIFI ONU. By mans of the method provided by the invention, for gateway products of different types of WIFI ONUs, all kinds of self-defined WAN templates can be defined; and thus, OLT software can start a configuration management service for different types of WIFI ONUs very conveniently.
