The invention discloses a waterborne aluminum powder paint and a preparation method thereof. The waterborne aluminum powder paint comprises a part A and a part B, wherein the part A is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 50-90 parts of waterborne polyurethane emulsion, 0.1-5 parts of a wetting agent, 0.01-1 part of a leveling agent, 0.02-2 parts of a de-foaming agent, 20-45 parts of an arrangement additive, 0.1-5 parts of a neutralizing agent, 1-10 parts of a film-forming additive and 5-20 parts of water; the part B is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 1-10 parts of waterborne aluminum powder, 1-10 parts of a film-forming additive and 0.1-3 parts of a dispersing agent. The waterborne aluminum powder paint provided by the invention is excellent in arrangement of aluminum powder, anti-settling effect, water resistance and stability, and suitable for use on ABS/PC and other plastic substrates.
