Abstract

A furniture component may include a base assembly, a frame assembly, and a tilt mechanism. The base assembly includes a rail having a track and a stopper received in the track. The frame assembly includes a base frame, a seat back frame and a seat bottom frame. The seat back frame is rotatably connected to the base frame. The seat bottom frame is connected to the seat back frame such that rotation of the seat back frame causes corresponding movement of the seat bottom frame relative to the seat back frame and the base frame. A reclining mechanism is connected to the seat bottom frame, engaging the track such that rotation of the seat back frame relative to the base frame causes bearings of the reclining mechanism to slide along the track, translating the base frame relative to the base assembly. When the seat back is in the fully reclined position, the bearing contacts the stopper.
