Abstract

The invention discloses a self-adaptive scanning method oriented to HEVC entropy coding. The self-adaptive scanning method comprises the specific steps of: firstly, performing self-adaptive scanning and entropy coding on syntactic elements associated with a last nonzero coefficient position in a TU; determining a syntactic element CSBF of each sub-block in the TU and a syntactic element sig_coeff_flag at each coefficient position in each sub-block; calculating a prediction probability that a CSBF value equals a least probability symbol (LPS), calculating a prediction probability that a sig_coeff_flag value equals the least probability symbol (LPS), and performing sorting, scanning and coding separately; and finally performing self-adaptive scanning and entropy coding on syntactic elementsassociated with all nonzero coefficient amplitudes in the TU. The self-adaptive scanning method allows the correlation among symbols to be fully utilized by HEVC, further improves the coding efficiency, does not need to transmit extra data rate information for a decoding end, and has low coding complexity which is only 0.33% of that of an existing algorithm.
