Embodiment Construction
[0019] The present disclosure generally relates to reinforced packaging for holding products, such as food or other items. Packages according to the present disclosure can accommodate items of any shape. Packaging may include a bag, liner, or wrapping material comprising a relatively flexible material attached to a reinforcing structure comprising a relatively rigid material (eg, cardboard). The bag or liner can typically be made of paper, plastic or other material and can be attached to a reinforcing structure. In one embodiment, the liner comprises polyethylene material or any other suitable heat-sealable material. The reinforcement may be of varying widths and may extend around or over the closed end of the bag, thereby in some embodiments enclosing such closed end and providing the bag with a product or item or series of items therein. support. In some embodiments, the reinforcement structure can be folded with its bag into a configuration that supports the bag in a fre...

Abstract
A reinforced package comprising a carton comprising a plurality of panels which may include a front panel, a first side panel foldably connected to the front panel, a second side panel foldably connected to the front panel, and a foldable ground connected to at least one rear panel of at least one of the first side panel and the second side panel. The bag may be attached to the carton and may have at least partially open ends, at least partially closed ends, and an interior space for holding the product. The carton can be positioned in a non-erect position in which the interior volume of the bag is at least partially contracted and in an erect position in which the interior volume of the bag is increased. The carton may support the bag in an upright position and may have retaining features for retaining the carton in the upright position.
