Abstract

The invention provides an ontology construction method based on a Topic Model, and provides an AOL method. The method supports automatic field ontology construction. A method for measuring the semantic similarity between calculation concepts of information is invented and used for calculating the semantic similarity between concepts generated by an LDA model. According to the AOL method, the number of child nodes of root nodes is not limited, and assistance of seed ontology as initial learning ontology is not required. Experiment results show that the provided method for conducting automatic ontology construction through the Topic model is quite effective.
