The inhibitor comprises at least one or more of non-metal acid salts and oligomers thereof, monothio non-metal acid salts and the oligomers thereof, dithio non-metal acid salts and the oligomers thereof, trithio non-metal acid salts and the oligomers thereof and tetrathia non-metal acid salts and the oligomers thereof; and the inhibitor for inhibiting the flotation of the zinc sulfide ore from the iron sulfide ore is formed by one or more of the non-metal acid salts and the oligomers thereof, the monothio non-metal acid salts and the oligomers thereof, the dithio non-metal acid salts and the oligomers thereof, the trithio non-metal acid salts andthe oligomers thereof and the tetrathia non-metal acid salts and the oligomers thereof. Raw materials are selected according to the composition of ores containing minerals of zinc sulfide and iron sulfide, one or two or more of the five materials of the inhibitor are selected to be mixed and stirred evenly with the raw materials, and then an aqueous solution inhibitor is formed by adding water tothe mixture and mixing and stirring; and the inhibitor is added to the roughing, scavenging, and carefully selecting process of the flotation to inhibit the flotation of the zinc sulfide ore from theiron sulfide ore.
