Abstract

A vacuum cleaner comprises a dust collecting container, an external air inlet, a closing valve for closing the external air inlet when in the closed position, a valve rod for moving the closing valveaway from the closed position and an electromagnetic coil module for generating electromagnetic driving force to the valve rod. The electromagnetic coil module is provided with a through passage extending through the electromagnetic coil module to guide movement of the valve rod. The valve rod is at least partially disposed in the through passage in a penetration mode. The valve rod has an initialposition, a stroke end position and a valve open position between the initial position and the stroke end position. The valve rod is at least partially located in the through passage when located atany position between the initial position and the stroke end position. The valve rod is separated from the closing valve at the initial position, and can be in contact with the closing valve at the closed position when moving to the valve open position. The valve rod impacts the closing valve and moves the closing valve away from the closed position during the movement from the initial position tothe stroke end position, so that guidable impact valve opening of the closing valve by the valve rod can be achieved.
