Abstract

A thick anti-cracking water-based ultra-thin steel structure fireproof coating and a preparation method thereof are disclosed. The fireproof coating comprises the following components (by weight): 170-210 parts of a vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer emulsion; 30-60 parts of flame-retardant latex; 300-450 parts of a powder composite flame retardant; 20-50 parts of a liquid flame retardant; 50-100 parts of melamine; 70-110 parts of titanium dioxide; 5-10 parts of an anti-cracking agent; 30-60 parts of a flexibility enhancer; 3-6 parts of a wetting dispersant; 1-3 parts of a preservative; 1-3 parts of an antifoaming agent; 1-3 parts of a pH stabilizer; 6-12 parts of a thixotropic agent; and 125-160 parts of deionized water. The invention also includes a preparation method of the coating. The fireproof coating of the invention has the characteristics of thick coating and no cracking and is sprayed by special spraying equipment for ultra-thin fireproof coatings; for one-time film formation,the dry film can reach 1.5 mm and above without sagging or cracking; the fire endurance time exceeds 90 min; and the preparation method is simple and is advantageous for large-scale production.
