Embodiment Construction

[0023] exist Figures 1 to 3 A motor vehicle 1 is shown in , in which only the front or front region with the bonnet 2 can be seen. The bonnet 2 is fixed relative to the vehicle body by means of a motor vehicle door lock, which in the exemplary embodiment is a motor vehicle bonnet lock 3 , but is not restricted thereto. In the exemplary case, the interior or details of a motor vehicle door lock or a motor vehicle hood lock 3 are in Figure 4 and Figure 5 are shown in different functional locations. It can be seen from the drawings that the motor vehicle door lock is mainly equipped with locking mechanisms 4 and 5 including a rotary lock body 4 and a locking pawl 5 .

[0024] The locking mechanism 4 , 5 interacts with a catch 6 or a stop which is arranged on the cover or front cover 2 . The rotary lock body 4 is mounted rotatably about an axis 7 in a lock plate 8 . The same applies to the locking pawl 5 , which is also mounted in the locking plate 8 , delimited by a shaft ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock, particularly a motor vehicle bonnet lock (3), provided with a locking mechanism (4, 5) which substantially consists of a rotary latch (4) and a pawl(5). The locking mechanism (4, 5) interacts with a striker element (6) on a bonnet (2). The lock according to the invention further has an unlocking / opening mechanism (10, 11) for the bonnet (2), which mechanism is equipped with a release element (10) provided in the interior of a motor vehicle body. It is required to operate the release element (10) preferably twice to open the bonnet (2). According to the invention, the locking mechanism (4, 5) is transferred to a pre-latched position after the release element (10) has been operated at least once, with the striker element (6) still being trapped. The bonnet (2) is opened from said pre-latched position by a movement in its longitudinal direction.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock, in particular to a motor vehicle front cover lock. The motor vehicle door lock has: a locking mechanism mainly comprising a rotating lock body and a locking pawl; Interaction of the stopper or the latch; for the unlocking / opening device of the cover, the unlocking / opening device is equipped with an operating member arranged inside the body of the motor vehicle, wherein preferably it is necessary to manipulate (or actuate) the operating member both to open the cover again. Background technique [0002] Motor vehicle door locks and in particular motor vehicle hood locks, as they are widely used in practice, usually have a catch hook in addition to a locking mechanism with a rotary lock body and a pawl. This is also referred to as a grapple lock and is described in detail, for example, in document DE 19938 687 B4. In the locked state of the cover and thus in the locked state of the locking mechanism, t...
