The method comprises the steps of controlling a clutch to be engaged from a completely disengagement state to an idle stroke elimination position; controlling the clutch to be engaged continuously to get into the sliding friction stage at the first speed when a vehicle starts hill starting; controlling the clutchto be engaged continuously at the second speed when a hand brake of the vehicle is released, and controlling a second timer to start timing; detecting that the difference between the rotating speed ofan engine and the rotating speed of an input shaft is less than a preset rotating speed difference value when the timing duration of the second timer reaches the second preset threshold value, and controlling the clutch to be completely engaged at the third speed when the rotating speed of the engine is greater than the first preset threshold value so as to control the clutch to go to the synchronous stage; and controlling a TCU to release control power of the engine when the clutch is completely engaged and the rotating speed of the engine is greater than the second preset rotating speed toenable the vehicle to get into a normal driving mode and realize stable and safe hill starting of the vehicle.
