Abstract

The method comprises the steps of mounting electrode insulation modules to an upper punch and a lowerpunch of an automatic rivet pressing machine; clamping a plate to be connected to the automatic rivet pressing machine, and positioning a titanium nail in the plate to be connected; inserting a lowerelectrode sheet and an upper electrode sheet which are connected to a pulse power supply; starting the pulse power supply to apply pulse current to the titanium nail; switching off the pulse power supply; removing the upper electrode sheet and the lower electrode sheet; riveting the titanium nail to finish the riveting of the plate to be connected; correspondingly upwards and downwards removing an upper riveting base and a lower riveting base; releasing an assembling clamp of the connecting plate; and removing a titanium alloy riveting part. The invention also provides a device adopted in theabovementioned method. The device comprises the automatic rivet pressing machine, the electrode sheets, the electrode insulation modules and fixing and pre-compressing structures, wherein the electrode sheets are connected to the pulse power supply.
