[0026] 1. Materials and methods

[0027] Lung adenocarcinoma tissues and paired noncancerous tissues (at least 5 cm from the tumor margin) were collected prospectively from patients with lung adenocarcinoma who underwent surgical resection at the Cancer Hospital Affiliated to Guangxi Medical University from December 2018 to May 2019. Selection criteria included: 1) pathological diagnosis of LUAD; 2) patients did not receive chemotherapy or radiotherapy before surgery; 3) patients had no history of other types of tumors; 4) patients had complete medical records. Patients who lacked AJCC staging information, lacked histological information, and died within 30 days after surgery or from other causes of disease were excluded from the analysis. Human tissues for research were reviewed and approved by the Ethics Review Committee of Guangxi Medical University for research involving human subjects.

Abstract

The invention discloses application of SLIT3 in preparation of a kit for prognosis of a lung adenocarcinoma surgery patient. The inventor identifies differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between 13 lung adenocarcinoma tissues and 5 normal lung tissues after radical operation through RNA sequencing (RNA-seq), analyzes by using gene ontology (GO) and KEGG, confirms expression of DEGs in a clinical specimen, a lung adenocarcinoma cell line, a normal human bronchial epithelial cell line and a verification queue from GEPIA through qRT-PCR, and verifies through survival curve analysis, so that the SLIT3 can be used as a biomarker for predicting the prognosis condition of the lung adenocarcinoma surgery excision patient.
