Abstract

Disclosed is a combination of an anti-HGFR antibody fragment with an extracellular portion of a person HGFR for treatment of a patient suffering a tumor and / or metastasis, wherein: (i) the anti-HGFR antibody fragment has only one paratope able to bind to an epitope of the extracellular portion of human HGFR and has antagonist activity towards HGFR, (ii) the extracellular portion of human HGFR is capable of binding to HGF in a stable manner and contains at least one amino acid mutation at the epitope recognized by the anti-HGFR antibody fragment to prevent binding of the anti-HGFR antibody fragment thereto, and (iii) the anti-HGFR antibody fragment and the extracellular portion of human HGFR are suitable for administration to the patient are suitable for administration to the patient (a) ina protein form or (b) in a nucleic acid form.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to novel combinations of therapeutic agents for the treatment of tumors and / or metastases, preferably metastases. Background technique [0002] Metastatic spread is based on the ability of cancer cells to disrupt cell-cell interactions, migrate through the extracellular matrix, survive and proliferate in tissues other than their site of origin. The physiological counterpart to this complex program (termed "invasive growth") underlies embryogenesis and is responsible for wound healing and organ regeneration in adulthood. Invasive growth is tightly regulated by specific extracellular signals, one of which is hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), a ligand for a receptor encoded by the MET oncogene. When aberrantly activated, HGF / MET signaling drives tumor initiation, progression and metastasis in a wide range of human malignancies. In a few instances, MET appears to "drive" an oncogene, and tumor cells depend on constitutive MET...
