Abstract

The invention provides a tape cartridge, a method for generating a label with the tape cartridge, and a method for attaching the label to an object. The tape cartridge includes a tape, a transparent cover film, and an ink tape. The tape has a thickness in the thickness direction and a width in the width direction. The tape is composed of a plurality of laminated layers, and each laminated layer comprises a transparent base layer; a background layer having a width smaller than a width of the tape in the width direction; and a release layer constituting one surface of the tape in the thickness direction. The transparent cover film is to be bonded to the tape. The ink tape contains ink to be transferred to one of the tape and the cover film.
