Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of non-human primate experimental animal disease models, and discloses an establishment method of a cynomolgus monkey hypertriglyceridemia model and application of the method. The method comprises the following steps: (1) selecting male cynomolgus monkeys of which the age is 12-21 years old; (2) feeding for four times every day, namely feeding sugar-containing feed for the first time, feeding complementary food for the second time, feeding green feed for the third time and feeding sugar-containing feed for the fourth time; (3) after the cynomolgus monkeys are fed for one year according to the mode in the step (2), detecting corresponding indexes, and screening out the cynomolgus monkeys of which the serum triglyceride level is greater than 1.14 mmol/L in an empty stomach state; wherein during feeding with the complementary food, the cynomolgus monkeys are alternately fed with brown sugar blocks and biscuits, and the complementary food is alternately used for feeding once every three days; the sugar-containing feed is obtained by mixing conventional feed and brown sugar. According to the method, the cynomolgus monkey hypertriglyceridemia model is successfully established by adopting mild long-term high-glucose and high-fat feeding, and the cynomolgus monkey hypertriglyceridemia model can be used for efficacy evaluation in the research and development process of new drugs.
