Embodiment Construction

[0018] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In addition, the same code|symbol is attached|subjected to the same or corresponding part in a drawing, and the description is not repeated.

[0019] As a trace gas detector for a gas chromatograph (GC), various types of detectors such as TCD and ECD have been proposed and put into practical use. Among such detectors, the FID is currently most commonly used. The FID achieves a wide dynamic range (approximately 7 digits) by using a hydrogen flame to ionize a gas sample and measuring its ionization current.

[0020] In addition, it has long been proposed that the plasma generated by high-voltage discharge can generate inert gas (He, N 2 , Ar, Ne, Xe, etc.), the detector that ionizes the sample by the vacuum ultraviolet light generated when the excited state returns to the ground state. The recently developed ionization current detector (BID) using a low-freque...

Abstract

The invention relates to a discharge ionization detector and a gas chromatograph analyzer. The light source irradiates excitation light to the discharge gas flowing through the dielectric tube. The ground electrode unit has a first ground electrode and a second ground electrode disposed apart from each other in the tube axis direction of the dielectric tube. The high-voltage electrode is provided between the first ground electrode and the second ground electrode. A first distance between the first ground electrode and the high-voltage electrode is shorter than a second distance between the second ground electrode and the high-voltage electrode. A covering portion is provided on the outer wall of the dielectric tube at a position between the first ground electrode and the high-voltage electrode. The light source irradiates excitation light such that the optical axis direction is directed toward the outer wall of the dielectric tube at a position where the cover portion is not provided.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to a discharge ionization detector and a gas chromatograph analysis device. Background technique [0002] As trace gas detectors for gas chromatography (GC), thermal conductivity detectors (TCD: Thermal Conductive Detector), electron capture detectors (ECD: Electron Capture Detector), hydrogen flame ionization detectors ( Various types of detectors such as FID: Flame Ionization Detector). In addition, it has long been proposed that the plasma generated by high-voltage discharge can be used to generate inert gases (He, N 2 , Ar, Ne, Xe, etc.), the detector that ionizes the sample by the vacuum ultraviolet light generated when the excited state returns to the ground state. Among them, a discharge ionization current detector (BID: dielectric barrier discharge ionization detector, dielectric barrier discharge ionization detector) utilizing a low-frequency dielectric barrier discharge has been developed recently. A discharg...
