Problems solved by technology

[0004] As a one-component water-based aerosol that improves the above-mentioned problems, for example, Japanese Patent Publication No. 61-45601 and Japanese Patent Publication No. 7-121848 have proposed such solutions, but any of them uses two Methyl ether is used as a propellant, and in the latter scheme, organic solvents such as lower alcohols must be used, and the performance evaluation as an aqueous aerosol is not satisfactory

Abstract

There is provided a microemulsion aerosol composition whose hazards of flammability and explosion are reduced and which is one-layer type and does not require to shake a container containing the composition prior to use. A microemulsion aerosol composition containing an aerosol base solution comprising (a) an insecticidal ingredient, (b) a surfactant, (c) an aliphatic hydrocarbon having between 8 and 16 carbons, and (d) water, and (e) a liquefied petroleum gas as a propellant, wherein (b), (c) and (d) are contained in amounts of 5 to 20 vol %, 40 to 78 vol % and 15 to 53 vol %, respectively, in the aerosol base solution, and the surfactant (b) is composed of sorbitan fatty esters and polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl ethers in a mixing ratio of 1:1 to 5:1.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to improvements in aerosol compositions containing insecticide ingredients. Background technique [0002] To date, in order to reduce the fire risk of the preparations and because of environmental concerns, many solutions have been proposed involving the dispersal of water-based insecticides or water-based aerosols formulated with water. However, in general, when formulating the insecticide, an aqueous organic solvent such as ethanol is often used in order to obtain uniform emulsion stability in consideration of the hydrophobicity of the insecticide component. However, these formulations tend to have lower insecticidal effects depending on the species of target pests compared with non-aqueous oily aerosols. This is considered to be due to the difference in the permeability of the insecticidal ingredients on the skin surface of the pest. [0003] The present inventors have previously disclosed an effective aerosol composi...
