Abstract

Characters of the invention are: Chinese characters are divided into two groups of single alone and shape combined; basic strokes include five sorts of horizontal, vertical, left-falling, right-falling and turning stroke. Coding is according to pronunciations of its components: character, radicals or strokes. Coding rule is as following: each character includes at most four codes: initial consonants of character, radical and stroke. Method is as following: for a shape combined character, initial consonants of first half of the character, second half of the character and end part of the second half are taken for coding; for single alone character, initial consonants of first, second and last strokes are taken for coding.
