Embodiment Construction

[0034] With reference to the drawings it will be appreciated that the present invention can be implemented in a variety of ways for use with a range of different stake-like structures such as pool fences, railings, ladders, walls and the like. The description of pool fence embodiments is given by way of example only.

[0035] Figure 1 shows the main components of a grid for a pool fence, including a bottom rung 10, a middle rung 11, a top rung 12, a plurality of piles 13, two posts 14, a locking bar 15 and a top pin 16, and Bottom pin 17. Depending on the purpose and style of the fence, these components can be in a wide range of numbers, shapes and sizes and can be assembled in different ways. These parts are usually provided as hollow tubes or other sections and are made of metal, such as aluminum or steel.

[0036] figure 2 Indicates how the grid can be assembled. The stakes 13 pass through pairs of holes in the bottom and middle rails 10, 11, and in this embodiment the ...

Abstract

A fence construction system in which stakes (52) are attached to the rungs (50, 51) using fastening means located inside the rungs. In one embodiment, the posts are secured to the rungs by a common locking bar. In another embodiment, the pile (52) is deformed inside the ledge (51) by means of a hemming tool. Equipment can be provided to facilitate the assembly of the fence. The top or bottom rungs may also have support structures inside the rungs.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to fencing construction, particularly but not limited to systems for pool fencing or railing construction. These systems can also be adapted to other structures, which in some cases have the same pile-like features as fences, such as ladders or walls. Background technique [0002] Pool fences are constructed in a variety of ways. A standard pool fence typically has many aluminum panels that are formed separately and then put into place together. Each grid has two or more horizontal rungs that support a series of vertical piles. These grids are assembled by passing the stakes through the holes in the rungs. Each stake is then usually welded or hemmed to the rungs, and the assembled structure is painted. Rungs and piles can take a variety of forms and can be assembled into a variety of configurations. [0003] Existing methods of construction require each pile to be individually manipulated and secured to the rungs. Wi...
