Benefits of technology

"The present invention provides a clipping piece structure for goggles that securely attaches the lens to the goggles and prevents it from escaping. This structure also includes a safety function, as it prevents the user from wearing the goggles if they fail to assemble the lens. The clipping piece structure includes a main body and a blocking piece, which securely holds the lens in place. This structure ensures that the goggles are always properly assembled and reduces the risk of injury or damage."

Problems solved by technology

However, the clipping piece of the above prior art that is used to connect the lens, goggles frame and the strap has certain disadvantages.
If the user forgets to assemble the transparent lens to the goggles after detaching the lens when changing a dirty strap, the user can still put the goggles on and yet not be aware of their omission.
Therefore a potential dangerous situation exists during the initial period after putting on the goggles.
Moreover, the clipping piece of the prior art goggles can escape from the goggles when external force is placed upon it, and the lens can depart from the goggles, again creating potential risks.

second embodiment

[0035]Reference is made to FIG. 2, which is a side view of a clipping piece structure for goggles of a second embodiment according to the present invention. This embodiment provides a clipping piece structure 1a including a main body 10 and a blocking piece 20a. The blocking piece 20a has a curved portion 22 and a trapezoid portion 24. Moreover, it further has a pair of protruding blocks 26 protruding from the trapezoid portion 24 along the direction substantially parallel to the pair of hooking arms 16.

[0036]Reference is made to FIG. 2A. The pair of protruding blocks 26 are wedged in the pair of engaging holes 940 of the frame 94, respectively. In other words, the pair of protruding blocks 26 and the free ends 162 of the pair of hooking arms 16 are all wedged into the pair of engaging holes 940 of the frame 94 together. The tolerance that allows the pair of hooking arms 16 of the main body 10 to move is limited, and they cannot easily escape from the protective goggles 9 because of...

third embodiment

[0037]Reference is made to FIG. 3, which is a perspective view of a clipping piece structure for goggles of a third embodiment according to the present invention. This embodiment provides a clipping piece structure 1b including a main body 10b and a blocking piece 20b. The blocking piece 20b also has a curved portion 22 and a trapezoid portion 24. The main body 10b further has a sub-folding portion 144 that connects the blocking piece 20b to the extending portion 14. This clipping piece structure 1b is formed integrally, wherein the blocking piece 20b connects with the main body 10b and the blocking piece 20b therefore is not easily lost.

fourth embodiment

[0038]Reference is made to FIG. 4, which is a side view of a clipping piece structure for goggles of a fourth embodiment according to the present invention. This embodiment provides a clipping piece structure 1c including a main body 10c and a blocking piece 20c. The blocking piece 20c has a pair of pivotal shafts 222 which protrude from the curved portion 22. The pair of pivotal shafts 222 are substantially perpendicular to the pair of hooking arms 16. The pair of hooking arms 16 are respectively formed with a pivotal hole 164 corresponding to the pivotal shaft 222. The pair of pivotal shafts 222 are received in the pivotal holes 164.

[0039]Reference is made to FIG. 4A, which is a perspective view of a clipping piece structure for goggles of the fourth embodiment according to the present invention. FIG. 4A shows that the blocking piece 20c can rotate in the clipping piece structure 1c. The trapezoid portion 24 of the blocking piece 20c can be rotated and is positioned between the pa...

Abstract

A clipping piece structure for goggles solves the existing risks to users of prior art. A clipping piece connects an elastic strap to the protective goggles. The protective goggles have a lens and a frame. The lens and the frame have engaging holes formed on two sides, respectively. The clipping piece has a main body and a blocking piece. The main body has a strap connecting part connected with the elastic strap and hooking arms extending from one side of the strap connecting part and defining a receiving space between the hooking arms. The hooking arms are wedged into the engaging holes for retaining the lens on the frame. The blocking piece is movably disposed in the receiving space between the hooking arms, and the blocking piece props against the inside walls of the hooking arms.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION[0001]1. Field of the Invention[0002]The present invention relates to a clipping piece structure for goggles, and particularly to a clipping piece structure disposed at two sides of protective goggles for connecting with a strap and buckling a lens to a frame.[0003]2. Description of the Prior Art[0004]People protect their eyes in many situations by wearing protective goggles, such as sporting goggles, swimming goggles, safety goggles, or ski goggles. For the prior art on protective goggles, please refer to U.S. Pat. No. 5,617,588 entitled “Snap together protective goggles construction with toric lens”, published on Apr. 8, 1997, the objectives of that particular patent include:[0005]1. Fitting different sizes of faces;[0006]2. Avoiding spluttered or sprayed liquid;[0007]3. Producing airflow that can prevent mists forming on the lens; and[0008]4. Providing an adjustable head strap buckle.[0009]However, the clipping piece of the above prior art that is used ...
