A system and method permits the transfer of funds between a transferor account and a transferee account through interaction with a transfer execution system. Money may be transferred from one account to another account in a different financial institution, which may occur for example in real time or without substantial delay in completing the process. The accounts that are to be used in the transfer may be identified based on the communications addresses of the users communicating with the system. A transfer code may be provided which in some embodiments may be used to identify one or more of the accounts to be used for the transfer when the transfer code is submitted to the system by one of the participants of the transfer. To implement desired transfers, the system may communicate with a financial network which may provide communications with the financial institutions of the users.

The coin scale is adapted to receive at least one group of coins of a single denomination and to determine a coin total for the at least one received group corresponding to the value of the coins in the received group. The processor is adapted to receive a currency bill total from the currency bill processing device and the coin total from the coin scale and to determine an aggregate total corresponding to the sum of the received currency bill total and the coin total.

Processing apparatus, system and method for processing checks in communication with a host computer for accurately detecting check multifeeding. The check processing system includes a check processing apparatus and a host computer in communication with the check processing apparatus. The check processing apparatus acquires and sends check information from a check S to the host computer, and then pauses check processing. Based on the received check information, the host computer confirms whether checks are multifeeding in the check processing apparatus. If multifeeding is detected, a print command is sent to the check processing apparatus to print to the check S. The check processing apparatus prints an endorsement or a transaction record on the back of the check S only after this print command is received.

A system for counting and identifying a plurality of gaming chips having a programmable RFID device embedded therein. The programmable RFID device having unique authentication data disposed therein. The system includes a tray structure defining a plurality of predetermined chip positions within a multi-dimensional grid. The tray structure is configured to carry the plurality of gaming chips such that each of the plurality of gaming chips are substantially disposed in a corresponding one of the plurality of predetermined chip positions within the multi-dimensional grid. An optical sensing assembly is configured to optically scan each of the plurality of predetermined chip positions to detect the presence of a gaming chip in each of the plurality of predetermined chip positions if present therein and generate a count corresponding to a number of detected gaming chips. An RFID reader assembly is configured to interrogate the plurality of gaming chips disposed in the tray structure and generate a list of authenticated gaming chips, the RFID reader assembly further generating a system status based on a comparison of the list of authenticated gaming chips relative to the number of detected gaming chips counted by the optical sensing assembly.

A system for processing currency and other media includes a compact currency bill processing device, a coin scale, and a controlling device. The compact currency bill processing device is adapted to count and determine the denomination of currency bills received in an input receptacle and transported, one bill at a time, to at least one output receptacle. The coin scale adapted to receive and determine a coin total for at least one group of coins of a single denomination. The controlling device is communicatively coupled to the currency bill processing device and the coin scale, and includes an integrated keypad and printer. The keypad is adapted to manually receive information from an operator, and the printer is adapted to print a hardcopy of information associated with the currency bills, the coins, and other media.

A coin sorting and counting machine and a method for operating it to automatically dispense cash vouchers based on the value of the counted coins, manufacturers' coupons and store coupons. Coins are placed in a hopper tray angled downward from the horizontal. When the hinged tray is lifted, the coins travel over a peak structure, through a waste management system and into the coin sorting and counting apparatus. The value of the coins and the number of coins within each denomination are displayed as the coins are counted. The transceivers couple together the database and the recognition subsystem in such a way that the a query can be made by the recognition system to determine the value associated with the code or otherwise verify the validity of the voucher or token.

The counting section counts the number of bills stored in the bill cassette which is directly or indirectly loaded onto the mobile cart by a clerk in charge.
