Abstract

The present invention provides a system and method that uses a single lead to support power input and power control functions for an integrated circuit that communicates with a system. The method includes: receiving a power input signal from a system on a lead; generating a power control signal through a power control signal generation circuit based on the power input signal; and sending the power control signal to an integrated circuit.
