Benefits of technology

This technology allows for upgradation or replacement of existing devices by providing them with updated versions from another version instead. It also uses a special type of communication called protocol translation (PT) allowing users to access their own data through different ways like email or phone lines. Overall this makes it easier than replacing all components at once when updating firmware systems used inside these apps.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed by this patents relates to improving the upgrading of electronic components such as smart homes with advanced features like internet connections while minimizing any negative effects caused by poor hardware capabilities. Current methods require manual intervention during installation, leading to increased cost overrunings and potential issues related to privacy concerns.

Abstract

The invention embodiment discloses an intelligent home appliance system. The system comprises an upgrade server and an intelligent home gateway for receiving an intelligent home appliance upgrade starting order which comprises the gateway address of an intelligent home appliance. Whether the home gateway of the intelligent home appliance registers is judged. If the gateway registers, an upgrade package sent by the upgrade server is received. Whether the network protocol of the upgrade server is the same as the network protocol of the intelligent home appliance is judged. If the network protocols are not the same, when first protocol data sent by the upgrade server is received, the first protocol data of the upgrade server is converted into second protocol data which can be analyzed by the intelligent home appliance. The second protocol data is sent to the intelligent home appliance so that the intelligent home appliance can be upgraded on line according to the second protocol data.
