Abstract

The invention provides a two-way video monitoring method and system. The method comprises the following steps: a video monitoring control point acquires a video monitoring signaling from a monitoring terminal, wherein the video monitoring signaling contains the address of a monitored point; the video monitoring control point notifies the video control signaling to a monitoring front end; and the monitoring front end transmits video data recorded by a camera corresponding to the address of the monitored point to the monitoring terminal through a set top box. The scheme can realize video monitoring based on the set top box.
