1271 results about "Non real time" patented technology

Non-real time, or NRT, is a term used to describe a process or event that does not occur immediately. For example, communication via posts in a forum can be considered non-real time as responses often do not occur immediately and can sometimes take hours or even days.

A proxy-server system (15) connected preferably to a computer-telephone system (10) intercepts, processes, and analyzes as traffic-analysis results (68A-C) all forms of real- and non-real-time electronic communication passing over the network in the form of raw traffic data (61). The proxy-server system normalizes each communication into the measure of time needed by recipient(s) of the communication to understand the information contained therein. Once normalized, the data may be aggregated into summary reports (69A-C). As part of the analysis, the aggregated communication records are compared with user-defined rules to provide alerts if the individual or aggregated durations exceed boundaries set by the rules. In one embodiment, the summary reports may be integrated with general-ledger data (94) and other raw business data (74) via a relational database (72) to derive more accurate records of activity-based-costing information (76). Additionally, the data of the summary reports may be visualized in two- or three-dimensional representations of communication-flow patterns to illustrate in an intuitive and semantically scalable manner the desired level of detail for time and time-based expense consumed by the electronic interactions of an individual or organization.

Method and apparatus for deriving uplink timing from asynchronous traffic across multiple transport streams

A communication apparatus that shares precise return channel uplink timing information includes a common symbol timing reference and one or more control stations that each transmit independent asynchronous DVB data streams which evenly share the common symbol timing. The control stations each include respective delay trackers to determine broadcast transmission delays associated with the particular control station and transmission path. Each broadcast data stream includes the same non real-time frame marker and a transmission delay message particular to the respective control station. A remote receiver receives one of the broadcast streams and timestamps the non real-time frame marker with a local time of receipt. A timing recovery circuit determines an upcoming return channel frame start time by adjusting the local time of receipt by the particular broadcast transmission delay and a unique receiver offset time. A local transmitter subsequently uplinks a TDMA message in a predetermined time-slot after the return channel frame start time. The method for transmitting a frame synchronized message includes receiving a non real-time frame reference marker in a receiver, timestamping the received frame reference marker with a reception time, and subsequently receiving a control node timing differential at the receiver. The local reception time of the non real-time frame marker is corrected to determine the proper return channel frame transmit start time by applying the control node timing differential and the local offset time. Users then uplink a message during an assigned period after the return channel frame transmit start time.

System and method for real time viewing of critical patient data on mobile devices

A data processing tool for the viewing of real-time, critical patient data on remote and / or mobile devices. The tool efficiently renders graphical data on the screen of the remote device in a manner that makes it practical for the health care provider to accurately and timely review the data for the purpose of making an informed decision about the condition of the patient. Charting control is established and implemented using the latest GDI+, GAPI and PDA drawing techniques. The charting components provide landscape support, an ability to overlay patient data and patient images, zoom in / zoom out, custom variable speed scrolling, split screen support, and formatting control. The methodology operates as an asynchronous application, without sacrificing crucial processing time in the mobile / handheld device. The methodology allows the critical patient data to be streamed in real-time to the handheld device while conserving enough CPU power to simultaneously allow the end user to interact at will with the responsive display application. The methodology is structured using object oriented concepts and design patterns. Each logical tier of the methodology, from the data access objects and the charting control objects, to the user interface objects, is structured with precise interfaces. Finally, the methodology implements an IT management console that allows system managers to monitor the exchange of data between hospital systems and the primary database, including all patient data packets, notifications and alerts, connected remote devices, etc.

Method and apparatus for providing web site preview information

Client-server system for providing web site preview information of web site content and features to users. The user enters a web site URL they want to preview into a client application, which generates preview information about the web site content and features. The client generates the web site preview information by building the preview information from preview information sources including the web site and/or requesting preview information from the server/back-end of the client-server system. Both the client and the server build preview information by accessing preview information sources such as web pages and web page information databases, extracting the requested preview information, formatting the preview information in a standard preview format, and returning the preview information to the user for display. While the client and server system build preview information from preview information sources in real-time, the server system also builds preview information in non-real-time by storing preview information in a preview information archive, and transmitting this pre-built preview information to clients in response to client preview information requests. In addition to providing web site preview information, the present invention may also be used to provide real-time or near real-time promotional information associated with a web site. The promotional information or announcement may be provided in conjunction with the preview information presented to the user. Specifically, when the user requests or is provided with preview information for a particular web site, the system “goes” to the web site and retrieves announcement information prepared by the web site sponsor. The announcement information may be in the form of an HTML file prepared by the web site's owner or marketing/promotional team. The HTML file is then presented to the user in conjunction with the presentation of the web site preview information.

A monitoring system and method for megawatt level battery energy storage power plant

The present invention relates to a monitoring and controlling system and method for megawatt level battery energy storage power plant, which includes a central monitoring and controlling module and local monitoring and controlling modules, between the two modules adopts real time and non real time communication parallel network structure to communicate with each other. The central monitoring and controlling module is configured to read the data of the battery energy storage power plant through the communication network, and store and manage the data, determine the total power demand of the battery energy storage power plant, determine all the power demand values of the energy storage substation, and send to all the local monitoring and controlling modules, calculate all the power demand values of the energy storage units, and send to the energy storage units, and then send all the power demand values of the energy storage units, real time and non real time data to the central monitoring and controlling module for unified storage and management. The monitoring system and method meets the requirements of cluster real-time rapid control and thousands of transmission data monitoring, and ensures the healthy operation of the battery to battery energy storage power station more security and stability.
