Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a method and a device for realizing an Internet protocol television (IPTV) service based on an Internet protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem. The method comprises the following steps of: acquiring pay per view (PPV) session establishment request from user equipment (UE), wherein the PPV session establishment request comprises a PPV frequency channel identifier to be acquired; judging whether the present play moment of a PPV frequency channel corresponding to the PPV frequency channel identifier is involved in a PPV order record of the UE according to the PPV order record of the UE; and if the present play moment of the PPV frequency channel corresponding to the PPV frequency channel identifier is involved in the PPV order record of the UE, establishing a PPV session with the UE so as to play the PPV frequency channel corresponding to the PPV frequency channel identifier. The embodiment of the invention supports that the UE orders a PPV program on time period.
