Problems solved by technology

The problem is: Once the first three fittings are adjusted (according to the above points a) and b) the two lower ones plus the balancer), there is a problem with adjusting the upper fitting due to the presence of tolerances and the elimination of degrees of freedom
this approach would be costly and time-consuming for FAL as it is not part of the standard process of assembling the tail cone to the rest of the rear fuselage

Embodiment Construction

[0067] The following description is provided for the convenience of the reader only and is not intended to limit the invention as set forth in the claims in any way.

[0068] figure 1 The aft fuselage of the aircraft is shown, including the end of the tail cone 1 and the rest of the aft fuselage 2 . The tail cone 1 is attached to the rest of the rear fuselage 2 by means of an attachment system comprising two upper lugs 3, two lower lugs 4 and a detachable equalizer 5, such as figure 2 and the magnified details shown therein.

[0069] The balancer accessory 5 of the present invention is adjustable. It is locked in the Z and Y axes of the Cartesian coordinate system and movable along the X axis of the Cartesian coordinate system. Thus, by allowing adjustment in the Cartesian Z and Y axis directions, the balancer assembly of the present invention allows changing of the interface point, in addition to sliding along the Cartesian X axis direction. In this way, the balancer fit...

Abstract

Rear fuselage of an aircraft comprising a tail cone end and a rest of the real fuselage whereby the tail cone end is attached to the rest of the rear fuselage by means of an attachment system comprising two upper lugs, two lower lugs and a detachable balancer fitting. The balancer fitting is an adjustable fitting, being locked in a Z and Y directions of a Cartesian axis and being movable along an X direction of the Cartesian axis providing guidance for the tail cone end and the rest of the rear fuselage.

Description

[0001] purpose of invention [0002] The object of the present invention is to ensure the interchangeability of the tail cone of the aircraft when the tail cone of the aircraft has to be removed from the rest of the rear fuselage of the aircraft for certain purposes or is to be replaced by a different tail cone. [0003] In other words, the main purpose of the invention is to provide a new solution for the connection between the tail cone of an aircraft and the rest of the rear fuselage of said aircraft. [0004] A further object of the invention is to relax the hyperstatic indetermination of the connection between the two parts, namely the end of the tail cone and the rest of the rear fuselage, thereby simplifying their assembly and future maintenance operations. [0005] A further object of the invention is to provide a connection that allows adjustments to the process during the assembly of the parts of the aircraft without introducing additional work to the existing assembly...
