Embodiment Construction

[0019] "Metamaterial" refers to some artificial composite structures or composite materials with extraordinary physical properties that natural materials do not have. Through the orderly design of the structure on the key physical scale of the material, the limitation of some apparent natural laws can be broken through, so as to obtain the supernormal material function beyond the ordinary nature inherent in nature.

[0020] There are three important characteristics of "metamaterials":

[0021] (1) "Metamaterials" are usually composite materials with novel artificial structures;

[0022] (2) "Metamaterials" have extraordinary physical properties (often not available in natural materials);

[0023] (3) The properties of "metamaterials" are jointly determined by the intrinsic properties of the constituent materials and the artificial microstructures in them.

[0024] The present invention provides an antenna with arbitrarily designed pattern. The antenna includes a conventional...

Abstract

The invention relates to an antenna capable of designing antenna patterns arbitrarily. The antenna comprises a conventional antenna, a first meta-material covered on the conventional antenna and having a function of converging electromagnetic waves, and a second meta-material covered on the conventional antenna and having a function of diverging electromagnetic waves. A combination of the first meta-material and the second meta-material can achieve a specific antenna pattern of the antenna. According to the antenna capable of designing antenna patterns arbitrarily, a surface of the antenna is covered by the first meta-material with the converging function and the second meta-material with the diverging function, and through precisely designing electromagnetic parameter distributions of the first meta-material and the second meta-material, the converging function and the diverging function are combined, so that achieving arbitrary needed antenna patterns is possible.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of communication, and in particular relates to an antenna with arbitrarily designed pattern. Background technique [0002] The directional radiation pattern (pattern) of the antenna is an important graph to measure the performance of the antenna. Various parameters of the antenna can be observed from the antenna pattern, including the main lobe width, side lobe level, front-to-back ratio, and directional coefficient. Different types of antennas have their own pattern with different characteristics. In the existing technology, in order to obtain a specific pattern, the antenna needs to be carefully and complicatedly designed. However, such a design is usually very complicated, and even if it is designed, it is difficult to process. Contents of the invention [0003] The technical problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide an antenna with simple design and processing, which can be designed with any ...
