Abstract

The invention discloses a portable device with 3D(three-dimension) picture taking and 3D video displaying functions. The portable device comprises a display panel, a backlight unit, a watch area separation unit, a polarizer, a polarization switch, a double-deflector and two cameras. The backlight unit provides a backlight source for the display panel; the watch area separation unit is used for separating watch area of a right-eye image from a watch area of a left-eye image; the polarizer is used polarizing light output from the display panel to generate first polarized light; the polarization switch is used for converting the first polarized light into second polarized light, and the second polarized light polarizes in a direction different from that of the first polarized light; the double-deflector has the refractive index changes along with polarization of incident light; and the two cameras are used for taking pictures in real time to form 3D images reaching the left eye and the right eye of a person respectively. 3D shooting and play functions are applied to portable devices such as mobile phones, laptops and the like, and video watching experiences of the portable devices are enhanced for people.
