Abstract

The present invention generally relates to electrodeposition apparatus and methods. When a thin film is deposited via electrodeposition, where the substrate has an inherent resistivity (eg, sheet resistance in the thin film), the method and apparatus of the present invention are used to form a plurality of ohmic contacts to the surface of the substrate. Material is electrodeposited onto the substrate and thereby overcomes inherent resistance and electrodeposits a uniform thin film. The method and apparatus of the present invention are particularly suitable for solar cell fabrication.
