Abstract

The invention discloses a policy session establishment method and system. In the above-mentioned method, when a BNG receives information of successful access authentication of a set of user equipment, the BNG is triggered to establish a policy session with a PCRF and then information of a contract signing quality of service (Qos) of a fixed network line and information of the fixed network line are sent to the PCRF. According to the technical scheme provided by the invention, even under a condition that an RG does not execute the access authentication, QoS recourses of the fixed network line which the RG is in can still be managed and controlled.
